We’re Psyched (NYC)

News Story

On Friday, May 12, the Dyson Center for Global Psychology is hosting their 25th annual Psychology Conference and Global Psychology Day, and we’re pretty ex-psych-ted about it!

The Dyson College Center for Global Psychology aims to enhance the global capabilities of Pace students and faculty from psychology and related fields by providing high-quality academic and professional experiences.

In other words, they’re giving students the ability to truly learn and make an impact—something that will be evident on Friday, May 12, when Pace hosts Global Psychology Day and the 25th Annual Psychology Conference.

Each year, Dyson, the Psychology Department, the John Templeton Foundation, Psi Chi, and the Confucius Institute host a Psychology Conference that features a full day of presentations and poster sessions from undergraduate and graduate students, panel discussions, networking, and keynote speakers, on the NYC Campus. This year’s Global Psychology Day and Conference, running from 9:00 a.m. –7:30 p.m. will feature dozens of poster presentations by students and departments from Pace and local organizations dedicated to psychological research.

The day will be anchored by a panel from 2:00 p.m.–3:15 p.m. entitled “Global Violence Against Women and Girls,” and will feature social psychology pioneer and Pace Professor Florence Denmark, PhD, Pace Professor Yvonne Rafferty, PhD, and visiting professors Janel Sigal, PhD, and Carolyn Springer, PhD.
