An Evening with Tom Rush and Matt Nakoa with Special Guest Seth Glier | Friday, December 9, at 7:30 p.m.
These three talented singers are about to grace the Schimmel stage with a folk performance you don’t want to miss. Tom Rush, who helped shape the folk revival in the 60s, brings beautiful ballads and blues and side-splitting storytelling to every performance. Matt Nakoa, a singer/songwriter who started out as a star performer at Brandy’s Piano Bar in NYC, has performed at the White House and toured with folk icon Tom Rush. Seth Glier, a young but seasoned troubadour and singer/songwriter, performs more than 100 shows each year from festivals to opening act spots for James Taylor. Buy tickets now.
Cloverton: The Hallelujah Christmas Tour with The Unseen | Saturday, December 10, at 7:30 p.m.
Get ready for a one-of-a-kind Christmas experience from Cloverton. The four-piece pop-rock group performs classic hymns such as “What Child is This?” and “Joy to the World,” and audience favorites “Carol of the Bells” and “A Hallelujah Christmas,” among others Buy tickets now.
Paula Poundstone | Friday, December 16, at 7:30 p.m.
A regular panelist of the number one rated NPR show, Wait Wait… Don’t Tell Me!, Paula Poundstone is regarded as one of the country’s greatest comediennes with an on-your-toes, unscripted approach to comedy. Paula brings her satire humor and recognizable style to the Schimmel Center for one riotous night of stand-up you won’t want to miss. Buy tickets now.
Rob Mathes Holiday Concert | Sunday, December 18, at 3:00 p.m.
Get ready for a holiday tradition from Emmy Award winner and Grammy and Tony Award nominated Rob Mathes as he finally comes to Manhattan for one concert only. Mathes, who has produced records for music legends such as Carly Simon and Rod Stewart, will take the Schimmel stage with his six-piece horn section and musicians from TV shows such as Saturday Night Live and The Late Show, and Paul Simon’s band. Pace faculty and staff receive $20 tickets to all Schimmel Center shows. These must be purchased through the box office phone or in person with your Pace ID. A limit of two tickets per performance applies.
