Supporting Your Success
Pace continues to use Starfish as a way to connect you with your instructors, advisors, and student support services, communicate important information to you about your progress in classes, and provide you with resources for assistance. Your instructors can use Starfish to share both concerns (Flag) and praise (Kudos) related to your academic performance. The great part is that you receive this information directly through your Pace email. Please be sure to pay careful attention to any emails you receive from, as they are alerting you to important and time sensitive information, often requiring your immediate action.

As a Pace student, you can also log in to Starfish directly at

New App for First-Year Students

Looking for Assistance and to Manage Important Deadlines?
The Division for Student Success (DSS) has partnered with EAB to bring a new, student-facing mobile app to Pace this fall and pilot its use with our new first-year students. It's called Guide, a free service for students to help them acclimate to college. Download Guide in the App Store or Google Play by searching for "guide college simplified."

What Can the App Do For Me?
The Guide app alerts you to critical deadlines and tasks throughout the semester, and connects you to campus resources—all right from your phone! For more information, check out our Pace Guide video for a quick and fun look into how the app can support Pace students.

Continuous Classroom Technology Improvements

Tech Updates in the Classroom
ITS updates technology in all our classrooms on a yearly basis. During the academic year, we assess current technologies in classrooms and how faculty and students are utilizing those technologies. Using a four-year equipment replacement life cycle model and designated funding from the Student Technology Fee, we identify a select number of classrooms each year to be upgraded. The upgrades range from an install of a projector and computer to a complete classroom redesign, which was the case for the Active Learning Classrooms.

Student Technology Fee

Submit Proposal Ideas
Pace University assesses a Technology Fee to ensure students have access to the latest instructional technology resources available. The fee is earmarked for instructional technologies to keep Pace up to date with the technology needed for today's teaching and learning methodologies. All revenue generated from the Technology Fee goes directly towards funding instructional technology initiatives. Proposal requirements, guidelines, submission deadlines, and meeting dates are found on our website.
