From Combat to Classroom (PLV)

News Story

On Thursday, April 20, Pleasantville is hosting a panel focusing on the student-veteran experience.

Did you know that since 2009, the post-9/11 GI Bill has enabled nearly half a million students to earn their degree? At Pace, we hope to increase that number through fostering personal and professional opportunities for our student veterans.

On Thursday, April 20, from 3:30 p.m.–4:30 p.m. in the Butcher Suite, Pace is hosting an informative Military Veteran Panel. The theme of the panel will be “From Combat to Classroom” and will feature veterans pursuing their degrees in higher education discussing transitioning from military service to classroom and campus life. The panel will help highlight aspects of the collegiate experience that are unique to veterans, and provide advice for adjustments that both veterans and the University at large can make to enhance the student-veteran experience.

Although the panel is focused on those who have served, students from all walks of life are encouraged to attend to learn about the student-veteran experience, and to help make Pace one of the best campuses in the nation for our honorable military personnel.
