Undergraduate Admission

Welcome to Pace.

We are excited that you will be joining our Pace community for the Spring 2020 semester. Orientation is designed to give you an introduction to the University and prepare you for your first semester of classes. You will have an opportunity to meet future classmates; speak with advisors; finalize your academic class schedule; tour the campus; and learn about campus activities, internship opportunities, study abroad, and more at the Pace Fair.

Orientation dates for the Spring 2020 semester are: 

  • Tuesday, January 14, 2020*
  • ​Wednesday, January 22, 2020*

Orientation sessions will be held from 9:30 a.m - 5:00 p.m. Check-in at the front entrance of One Pace Plaza. View directions to campus.

*Make-up day will be the next day in the event of incelement weather.


Orientation Checklist

Step 1:Sign up for one of our required Orientation programs taking place in January. Families and guests wishing to attend should be listed when you register for Orientation online.

Step 2: I​f required, take the online placement test(s) in writing and math. You will be notified by the Office of Undergraduate Admission if you need to take any of these tests. Visit the placement testing web page immediately after registering for Orientation. 

Step 3: Submit the following official documents to the Office of Undergraduate Admission, prior to attending your Orientation session and registering for classes, and no later than January 15, 2020: 

  • Official copies of transcripts, with grades from all colleges previously attended
  • Syllabi of any courses for which this has been requested on your transfer credit evaluation
  • Official Advanced Placement (AP) or International Baccalaureate (IB) scores
  • Official final high school transcript with graduation date or proof of high school graduation

International Students Holding an F-1 Visa

In addition to attending an Orientation session on either January 14 or January 22, all new international students on an F-1 visa who are first-time students to Pace University must also attend the Mandatory New International Undergraduate Student Orientation Session as required by U.S. federal regulations on Thursday, January 23 from 1:00 - 4:30 p.m. The session will be held at One Pace Plaza, Student Center. Check-in begins at 12:30 p.m. This session will focus on immigration regulations pertaining to international students on F-1 visa, visa applicable benefits, and restrictions.

Global Pathways

Orientation for Global Pathways students is January 21 -24, 2020. All days are mandatory.

We recommend that you plan to arrive in New York City by January 19 to allow yourself some time to settle down. The term of Spring 2020 will begin on January 27, 2020. As a new F-1 student, you will be able to enter the U.S. within a 30-day period before your program start date. If you attempt to enter before the 30-day period, the Customs and Border Patrol might not allow you into the country.
