Sixteen years ago, the tragic events of 9/11 were not only felt around the world, but also at our University, located just blocks away from the World Trade Center—where our nation and our community were forever changed within a matter of hours. The Pace Community heavily mourned the loss of 47 members, and was closed for several weeks as the city and the country worked toward a brighter tomorrow.

The September 11 Memorial, museum, and the stunning new One World Trade showcase a downtown Manhattan that has been through its share of adversity and tragedy and emerged stronger than ever. Meet at 33 Beekman for a trip to the memorial site, and to remember those who lost their lives on one of the darkest days in our nation’s history.

Take Action Table

Volunteer New York! and the Center for Community Action and Research are hosting a take action table for 9/11 Day of Service. Join CCAR in writing thank you messages attached to lollipops—which will be sent to first-responders to provide a small act of gratitude for their fearlessness and heroism.
